Desert lion Kevin

The story of the lion Kevin

Kevin was born in captivity to a private owner and he got us on Christmas 2016. In the care of the private owner he was rejected by his lioness mother, who didn't nurse him. That's because not all lionesses in captivity take care of their cubs since they are away from their natural habitat. He got the name Kevin, because he got into our care before Christmas:)))).
Our care-takers gave him a 24h care. He was always a big eater and it's been like that till now. Kevin get along the best with Kiara, they have a very similar nature.

The lion needs about 5 kg of meat a day, while the lion consumes 7 or more kg per day.
The lion can be crossed with a tiger. Such experiments have been tested on humans in captive animals. The combination of these two huge cats creates an even bigger one, called a liger. However, it can no longer reproduce.
The Lion is a frequent, popular fairy tale character. He has appeared in animated films such as The Lion King, The Wilderness and Madagascar.
When filming the fairy tale The Lion King, the filmmaking crew went to Africa, specifically to Kenya, to study the behavior of the lions.
They focused mainly on their movements, so that they could later adequately portray them in the film. They also thoroughly studied the local flora and nature. Later, they also had a live lion with a cub in the study so that they could accurately show the body structure and movements of these animals.
