Blue-and-yellow macaw Paolo, Majo & Joja

From a happy home and from a cage

This parrot couple came to us from a gentleman, that loved them. Unfortunately, his illness prohibited him from caring for them anymore and so he had to give them up. The other couple comes from a family, that had them in a block of flats and because of the complaints from the neighbours, because of the noise, they had to eventually give them up.

In Trinidad they belong to the endangered species.

They live in the tropical region of South America, from south Panama to Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Trinidad.

The blue-and-yellow macaw flies long distances to get food, sometimes over 25 km.
