Ring-tailed lemur Eduard & spol.

A group of lemurs

Our lemurs come from zoos, where they were overbred or from private breeding stations from unsuitable conditions. We try to give them the right care and love.

The ring-tailed lemur (lemur catta) belongs amongst the generally endangered species. Their numbers in the wild are decreasing because of deforestation and intense hunting.

Lemurs have a problem with thermoregulation and that's why when the sun is shining they sit opposite to the sun with their arms spread wide and absorb the energy from it.

Over 90% of all kinds of plants and animals found in Madagascar can't be found anywhere in the world.

There are 99 lemur subspecies, hundreds of kinds of orchids, sex out of eight know types of baobabs, 170 types of palm trees and ⅔ of world population of chameleons.
